SHOCKING: Actor Huma Qureshi’s Cousin Asif Qureshi Murdered in Delhi Over Parking Dispute, Two Arrested

Delhi (India) August 8: In a tragic incident late on August 7, actor Huma Qureshi’s cousin, Asif Qureshi, aged 42, was murdered following a dispute over parking in Delhi’s Bhogal area. Delhi Police confirmed that the accused, identified as Ujjwal (19) and Gautam (18), have been arrested, and the murder weapon recovered.

The incident occurred around 10 pm in Church Lane, Bhogal, when Asif asked two men to move their scooter parked at his house entrance. According to his wife, Shaheen Asif Qureshi, the request quickly escalated into a heated verbal exchange. The men initially left but allegedly returned moments later.

During the second confrontation, one of the accused attacked Asif with a sharp iron poker, striking him in the chest. Relatives allege that the attackers also entered the house carrying boulders, further threatening the family.

PTI released surveillance footage from the scene, which appears to show three to four men surrounding and assaulting a lone individual. The visuals match witness accounts of Asif being outnumbered during the fatal attack.

Shaheen claimed the killing was deliberate, saying her husband was “conspiratorially killed.” A relative told IANS that Asif collapsed immediately after being struck and began bleeding heavily. He was rushed to the National Heart Institute in East of Kailash, where doctors declared him brought dead.

Saleem Qureshi, father of Huma Qureshi, expressed grief and anger over the murder. “Two men parked a scooter in front of the house. Asif asked them to move it aside and not block the entrance. They were two, together they killed my nephew,” he said.

An FIR has been registered under Sections 103(1) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), provisions dealing with murder. Police say the investigation is ongoing and further details will be revealed as evidence is examined.

The case is really shocking and everyone in the neighbourhood is very scared at the moment. A normal argument on parking turned into such a horrifying incident.
