Karan Johar Reviews Mirzapur The Movie: ‘Solid, Kadak, Masaledar Ride’

Mirzapur The Movie has finally hit the big screens and there has been yet another reaction from a celebrity to the movie. This time around, filmmaker Karan Johar has watched the film and rated the latest installment in the successful franchise with a strong thumbs up.

Sharing his opinion about the movie on his Instagram Stories page, Johar praised its high energy, return and introduction of new characters. It comes at a time when the highly loved Prime Video franchise has made the jump from streaming to theatres.

Karan Johar was lavish in his praise for the movie. In his post on Instagram Stories, sharing the movie's trailer, the filmmaker referred to the Mirzapur The Movie as "a solid, Kadak, masaledar ride."

He further disclosed that he was fond of the original series and also immensely enjoyed the movie. Johar praised the movie for its handling of the existing characters along with introducing new characters.

His review reads as follows: "Mirzapur is a solid, Kadak, masaledar ride! I love the series and I thoroughly enjoyed the film!!!! All the epic characters shine and make way for the new ones with aplomb! Even if you haven't seen the series you will love the film!!!"

The Mirzapur franchise became a highly loved streaming property since its release on Amazon Prime Video. It developed a massive fan base because of its amazing characters, violence and power games and unpredictable plots with some dark humor.

In Mirzapur The Movie, the producers have successfully managed to translate this story to the big screen. The movie has once again seen the return of Pankaj Tripathi as Kaleen Bhaiya, while Ali Fazal plays the role of Guddu Pandit. In addition to that, the scale of the story has been enlarged while still maintaining most of the features of the series.
