Working with Vijay was a dream for Tamil actress Anandhi Ajay. But that dream ended in heartbreak when she found out that all her scenes in Jana Nayagan had been removed from the film's final cut. The actress shared an emotional video on social media, leaving fans deeply moved.

The tearful clip quickly went viral on Instagram. In the video, Anandhi opened up about waiting nearly a year for the opportunity, only to learn that her role would not appear in the finished film.

In the Instagram video shared on Thursday, Anandhi is seen breaking down in tears while speaking in Tamil. She revealed that she had been associated with Jana Nayagan for almost a year and was excited to share screen space with Vijay. However, all her scenes were eventually removed before the film's release.

The actress also said she was especially heartbroken because Jana Nayagan is widely believed to be Vijay's final film before he steps away from acting. She feared she may never get another chance to work with the superstar.

Soon after the video surfaced online, it spread rapidly across social media, with thousands of fans expressing support for the actress. Many users comforted Anandhi in the comments section and encouraged her not to lose hope.

One user wrote, "Oh no. This is so heartbreaking. I really hope someone hears your voice. There were so many longer fight scenes that could have been trimmed they could have easily included yours instead. Hoping this opens the door to even better opportunities for you."

Anandhi Ajay is a popular face in the Tamil television industry. She has appeared in serials such as Karthigai Pengal, Yamuna, Kana Kaanum Kaalangal and Kallikattu Pallikoodam.

Besides acting, she is a trained classical dancer and a yoga enthusiast. She has also participated in reality shows including Dance Jodi Dance 3.0, Jodi No.1 Seasons 6 and 7, and Maanada Mayilada Season 7

Despite receiving mixed reactions after its release, Jana Nayagan had a solid opening at the box office. According to trade tracker Sacnilk, the Vijay starrer collected Rs 41 crore net in India on its opening day across 13,067 shows. Its India gross collection stands at Rs 48.27 crore, while the worldwide gross has reached Rs 78.27 crore, including Rs 30 crore from overseas markets.

The Tamil version led the collections with Rs 36.50 crore, followed by Rs 2.75 crore from the Telugu version and Rs 1.75 crore from the Hindi version.

However, the film could not match the opening-day records of Vijay's earlier releases. Beast had opened with Rs 49.30 crore, while GOAT collected Rs 44 crore on its first day.
