The Traitors 2 X Review: Netizens React To Munawar Faruqui’s Early EXIT & Abhishek Malhan's Gameplay

The Traitors India Season 2 has started streaming on Amazon Prime Video, and the first three episodes have already triggered a wave of reactions on X (formerly Twitter). From Munawar Faruqui’s early elimination to Mallika Sherawat’s unexpected popularity and Abhishek Malhan’s gameplay, viewers have plenty to say about the new season. 

The first season of The Traitors India premiered last year and received a strong response from audiences. Uorfi Javed and Nikita Luther emerged as the winners. With Season 2 bringing together another interesting mix of celebrities and influencers, viewers were keen to see who would dominate the game.

Mallika Sherawat appears to have surprised viewers with her personality on the show. One X user shared their reaction after watching the first three episodes, writing, “Watched the 1st 3 episode of Traitors I love #mallikasherawat unexpectedly. She is hillorous n m not liking #fukrainsaan I dnt know u he is damn overconfident irritating. Jab ki mujhe lga tha ki wo pasand aayega mujhe #traitors2 (sic).”

The viewer’s reaction highlights the unexpected shift in audience expectations, with Mallika emerging as a contestant they did not initially expect to enjoy.

Munawar Faruqui became the first contestant to be voted out during the opening week’s Circle of Shaq. His early exit has sparked discussions about whether he revealed too much of his game too soon. One netizen compared his approach to Raj Kundra and wrote, “#MunawarFaruqui literally pulled a Raj Kundra He knew people would see him as a threat So he should have stayed quieter and more low key Traitors is not a personality show ki apni har quality day 1 par dikhao Its about brains and observing (sic).”

The tweet sums up one of the key challenges of The Traitors. Contestants need to remain visible enough to build trust while ensuring they do not become an obvious threat to the rest of the players.

Abhishek Malhan, popularly known as Fukra Insaan, has also become a topic of discussion. While some viewers have criticised his approach, others believe he is making meaningful contributions to the game. 

Another X user shared their observations after watching the three episodes, “Out of the 3 episodes, I have observed, there are people out there super annoying, some invisible, some just blabbering and then contestants like abhishek stating points clear cut with valid statements! (sic).”

The reaction suggests that Abhishek’s direct approach is working for some viewers, even though others have found him overconfident.

With Munawar Faruqui already out of the competition, the remaining contestants will have to rethink their strategies as the game moves forward. The first three episodes have already established clear audience favourites, while some players are still struggling to make an impression.
