Sachin Pilgaonkar born in Mumbai in Saraswat Brahmin family from pilagaon Goa. His father’s name is Sharad Pilgaonkar who is a film producer and managed the printing press business in Mumbai.

He married actress Supriya Pilgaonkar. His first directed movie was Supriya and he in the picture, name of movie is Navri Mile Navryala which is marathi movie and coincidentally they win everyone’s heart.

The couple have one daughter, Shriya Pilgaonkar.

Career

Sachin Pilgaonkar started his career at the very beginning. The first film Soonbai in 1961 directed by Madhavrao Shinde he acted in it. There are very known films where he acted. Apart from Marathi films he acted in Hindi films too. Also, he sings songs in various films.

When Pilgaonkar turned into television industry he directed many shows like tu tu main main which is comedy show broadcasted on Star Plus Starred his wife Supriya Pilgaonkar. In 2007, he started a new program which is eka peksha ek shows the dance competition on Zee Marathi.
