Ghulam Nabi Azad was born on March 7, 1949 in Soti village of Gandoh tehsil, Doda district in Jammu and Kashmir. He completed his school education locally and later earned a Bachelor’s degree in Science from Jammu and a Master’s in Zoology from the University of Kashmir.

Career

Ghulam Nabi Azad joined the Indian National Congress party in 1973 and steadily rose through its ranks, holding positions like President of the Youth Congress.
