Spider-Man: Brand New Day Leaves Hollywood's Biggest Hits Behind With New Box Office Record

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is setting new box office records around the world. Tom Holland's latest outing as the web-slinger has crossed a major milestone in just six days, becoming one of the fastest films ever to do so.

The Marvel film has also raced past several recent blockbuster releases. Its strong opening has placed it among the biggest theatrical successes of 2026.

The fourth Spider-Man film earned $360 million across the US and Canada during its first three days. Internationally, it collected another $572 million, helped by early releases and paid previews in several markets, including India.

On Monday alone, the movie added $47 million domestically. That pushed its North American total to $407 million. Overseas earnings also climbed to $645 million, taking its worldwide collection to $1.053 billion. The film is now the second-highest-grossing release of 2026 and sits just $15 million behind Toy Story 5.

The film reached the $1 billion mark in only six days. That makes Spider-Man: Brand New Day the second-fastest movie to achieve the feat after Avengers: Endgame. Its current pace also puts it on track for an even bigger global finish.

The blockbuster has already overtaken the lifetime earnings of several recent hits. These include Michael ($1.016 billion), The Super Mario Galaxy Movie ($1.011 billion), The Devil Wears Prada 2 ($691 million), and Project Hail Mary ($684 million).

It also moved ahead of Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey. While the epic adventure has earned $923 million worldwide so far, the Spider-Man film reached the billion-dollar milestone sooner despite arriving in theaters two weeks later.

Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, Spider-Man: Brand New Day stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker alongside Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Sadie Sink, Mark Ruffalo, and Jon Bernthal. The story follows Peter as he lives in a world that no longer remembers him, forcing him to face new threats while dealing with life on his own.
