Avengers: Endgame Encore Trailer Beats Top Gun To Set New Viewership Record

The Avengers: Endgame Encore trailer has made a huge impact online within just 24 hours. The trailer has already broken a major record, showing strong fan interest ahead of Avengers: Doomsday.

According to Deadline, the trailer collected 77 million views across online streaming platforms in its first 24 hours. That figure is four times higher than the previous record for a re-release trailer.

The previous record belonged to Top Gun, which earned 19 million views when it returned to theaters in May 2026. The one-week re-release marked the film's 40th anniversary and was paired with Top Gun: Maverick.

The first Avatar re-release trailer followed with 14 million views. Titanic's re-release trailer had 13 million views.

The Avengers: Endgame Encore trailer has now moved far ahead of all three films. Its 77 million views underline the continued interest in the 2019 Marvel blockbuster.

Avengers: Endgame will return to theaters worldwide on September 25. The re-release celebrates the Avengers' legacy while connecting the film to the next chapter of the MCU.

The 1-minute, 36-second trailer revisits the original film's April 26, 2019 release. It includes minor changes to the color grading and dialogue, along with footage showing audience reactions from theaters at the time.

The Encore edition will also include four minutes of new footage. Premium screenings in formats such as IMAX and Infinity Vision will feature an exclusive sneak peek at Avengers: Doomsday.

The trailer also highlights the consequences of the Avengers' time-travel mission. It ends with Tony Stark warning, "You mess with time, time tends to mess back".

Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to arrive worldwide on December 18. The film will bring together several major Marvel teams and characters.

The lineup includes the New Avengers, Fantastic Four, X-Men, Shuri, Shang-Chi, Captain America, Thor, Falcon, Loki, and Steve Rogers.

They will face Victor Von Doom, also known as Doctor Doom. Robert Downey Jr. will return to the MCU as the villain after previously playing Iron Man.
