Krishnavataram 2 Update: Sidhharth Gupta Confirms Sequel Is in the Works; Says 'Work Is Going On'

In a recent conversation on The Filmy Charcha Podcast, host Rahul Varun sat with Krishnavataram star and Vaaste fame Sidhharth Gupta for an honest chat about typecasting after the success of his Krishna role. When asked if he fears getting similar roles, the actor gave a direct answer, "Nahi." Talking about repeating such characters, Sidhharth Gupta said "Mujhe accha kaam milega main karunga. It's as simple." The response made it clear that good stories matter more than labels.

The actor explained why returning as Krishna will never be a problem. "Hamare Part 2 aur 3 ban rahi hai. Main karunga Krishnavataram." The performer added "Bahut bada role hai jo aapko life mein mila hai." Sidhharth Gupta also shared "Agar main isse jaana chahun mujhe koi issue nahi hai. Mujhe aaj bhi Vaaste se jaana jaata hai." For the actor, every successful role becomes part of an artist's identity and not a burden.

Sharing an interesting perspective, the Krishnavataram star said "Isse bada saubhagya kya hoga ki aapko Krishna Bhagwan se associate kiya jaaye." Sidhharth Gupta then made a statement that stood out during the conversation. "Agar aap typecast nahi hue ho to aapne kaam bhi accha nahi kiya." The actor further added "Typecast hona bhi ek collateral hai acche kaam ka." According to him, recognition comes with responsibility and that is something he gladly accepts.

The actor revealed that the industry response has been positive after Krishnavataram. "Luckily touch wood mujhe aaj aise offers hain jahan pe main typecast bilkul nhi hoon." The performer continued "Mujhe bahut acche offers aa rahe hain." Sidhharth Gupta also credited destiny and said "Luck isme bhi I think Bhagwan ka hi haath tha." Instead of worrying about image, the actor believes every opportunity should be respected if the role is meaningful.

When Rahul Varun asked about Krishnavataram 2, the actor avoided giving a release timeline but confirmed that work has already started. Sidhharth Gupta said "Ye aapko mere producer director se poochna padega. Wo kab banayenge." The actor then shared "Wo baat chal rahi hai aur bahut hi zor shor se us pe kaam chal raha hai.
