Before Acting, Krishnavataram Actor Sidhharth Gupta Had a Microsoft Job Offer; 'I Had a Backup Plan'

In a recent conversation on The Filmy Charcha Podcast, host Rahul Varun sat with Krishnavataram star and Vaaste fame Sidhharth Gupta for a conversation about the biggest risk of his life. Asked whether leaving Dubai was a gamble or if a backup plan existed, the actor replied "Tha. Backup plan tha mere paas. I have got placed in Microsoft jab maine interview aur written exam diya tha post my engineering. Mujhe pata tha wo ho jayega."

The actor shared "One of my childhood best friend's brother was working in Microsoft Bengaluru. Unse meri baat hui thi. Unhone kaha tha you come to Bangalore. We will set up an internal interview and I will get you." Sidhharth Gupta explained that the offer gave him confidence because a stable career option was already waiting if acting did not work out.

Speaking about the plan, the Vaaste star said "Mujhe ye tha ki agar ye workout nahi hua to main Microsoft mein job kar lunga. Maybe work for a year or two. Phir main higher studies ke liye bahar chala jaunga. Shayad yahan rehta bhi nahi. Main bahar hi kahin hota." The actor admitted that life could have gone in a completely different direction if acting had not worked.

Instead of making an emotional decision, Sidhharth Gupta balanced ambition with practical thinking. The performer said "Maine apne ko chance diya. Risk tha but kuch backup maine rakha hua tha ki agar ye nahi hua to main wahan zaroor jaunga." It reflected that chasing a dream did not mean ignoring reality because a clear alternative plan was already prepared.

The actor ultimately chose to trust his passion instead of taking the corporate route. That one decision eventually led to Vaaste and later Krishnavataram. The conversation showed that while the journey involved risk, Sidhharth Gupta moved forward only after creating a practical backup which gave him the confidence to pursue acting wholeheartedly.
