Vijay's Sci-Fi Thriller Greatest Of All Time Tops Advance Booking Charts

South superstar Vijay’s upcoming film Greatest Of All Time (GOAT) is making waves even before its official release. Directed by Venkat Prabhu, the sci-fi thriller is set to hit theaters on September 5. As of 4 PM on September 3, advance ticket sales have already crossed ₹12.44 crore. With additional bookings, the total stands at ₹15.66 crore, according to a report by Sacnilk.

Day 1 Ticket Sales

For its first day, Greatest Of All Time has sold approximately 5.79 lakh tickets for Tamil 2D shows, around 7,000 tickets for Telugu 2D shows, and about 2,600 tickets for IMAX 2D shows. This brings the total number of pre-sold tickets to roughly 5.9 lakh.

International Success

The film is also making a mark internationally. It has already surpassed the $1 million mark in foreign ticket sales. In the USA alone, advance ticket sales have reached about $300,000.

Film Details

On Vijay’s 50th birthday, June 22, the makers released the teaser for Greatest Of All Time. Vijay will be seen in a double role in the movie. The film also stars Prabhu Deva, Prashanth, Jayaram, Meenakshi Chaudhary, and Ajmal Ameer. The music is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, and the film is produced by Kalpathi S. Suresh, Kalpathi S. Ganesh, and Kalpathi S. Aghoram.

Vijay’s Political Plans

Greatest Of All Time is believed to be one of Vijay’s final films before he focuses fully on his political career. Earlier this year, Vijay announced the formation of his political party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam.
