UP Premier League: Bollywood Stars Added Glamour To The Opening Ceremony, From Kriti Sanon, Ayushmann To Badshah 

The Uttar Pradesh (UP) T20 League 2024 kicked off with a bang on Sunday. The opening ceremony featured star-studded performances by Kriti Sanon, Ayushmann Khurrana and Badshah, who enthralled the audience at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium. Actor Aparshakti Khurana was the host for the do. Actor Nargis Fakri, too, made an appearance and cheered for her franchise, Kashi Rudras. 

Bollywood Stars Performed At UP Premier League 

Dressed in red, Badshah performed his hit songs, including Kala Chashma, Hai Garmi and DJ Wale Babu, among others. Khurrana performed on the songs Pani Ka Rang and Mar Jaiyan. Sanon performed on tracks such as Choli Ke Peeche from Crew, Param Sundari from Mimi and Laal Peeli Akhiyaan from Teri Baaton Mein Uljha Jiya. Composer AR Rahman’s cult Vande Mataram soon echoed in the stadium as the audience sang along.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) vice-president Rajiv Shukla unveiled the trophy in the presence of brand ambassador and former cricketer Suresh Raina, and the captains of the six teams — Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Rinku Singh, Karann Shharma, Nitish Rana, Dhruv Juel and Sameer Rizvi.

Opening Ceremony Of UP Premier League: A Star-studded Affair 

Mirroring the excitement of the Indian Premier League, this T20 cricket extravaganza is currently underway with six teams from across the state competing. The inaugural season, held in Kanpur, also featured star-studded entertainment, including performances by Tiger Shroff, Ameesha Patel, and composers Meet Bros.

Teams Participating In The Tournament 

The teams participating in the tournament includes last year’s winners Kashi Rudras, runners-up Meerut Mavericks and Gorakhpur Lions, Kanpur Superstars, Kashi Rudras, Noida Super Kings and Bhuvneshwar Kumar-led Lucknow Falcons.

The tournament will conclude on September 14
