In an interview with Ranveer Allahbadia, Sunny Deol talked about a scene from Border that was removed before the movie was finished. Sunny was very emotional as he described this scene, which he said was one of his favorites.

What the Scene Was About

The scene was supposed to be at the end of the film. Sunny’s character finds himself at a small temple, looking back at a destroyed bunker glowing with firelight. He then sees the fallen soldiers sitting around a fire.

In this moment, Sunny’s character speaks to these soldiers, promising to look after their families and fix their homes. He tells them they are now in heaven, where there’s no more fighting. Sunny said this scene was meant to show peace and comfort after the war.

Why It Was Left Out

Unfortunately, this touching scene was cut from the final film. Sunny explained that the film was already long, and they had to remove some parts to keep it within a reasonable length.

There’s good news for fans as Border 2 is in the making. Written by Nidhi Dutta and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, JP Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta, the film will continue the story of the Battle of Longewala. Directed by Anurag Singh, it will also star Varun Dhawan in a key role.
