SS Rajamouli Breaks His Own Rule for Mahesh Babu’s SSMB 29, Only One Movie, Not Two!

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India] April 04: Everyone thought director SS Rajamouli was going to do the same thing he did before, like in Baahubali where the movie had two parts and fans had to wait for the second one to know what happened, but now there is a big surprise because for his next huge film with Mahesh Babu, he has decided not to make it in two parts, and instead it will be just one big movie, and fans who were thinking there will be a second part are now shocked but also happy because the movie will be one full experience without a break.

The upcoming film, SSMB 29, starring Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra, and Prithviraj, is expected to be an enormous film with a forest theme, action, adventure, mythology, and a ton of awesome effects. But Rajamouli is doing something completely different this time because he wants the story to be strong and not just stretched to several parts. Rajamouli is one of the most famous directors in India and even globally, thanks to his big films like Baahubali and RRR which got loved internationally as much as in India. 

He worked hard to write the story in one part, and the film will be about three hours and thirty minutes long, just like RRR, so people can enjoy the entire story without having to wait for the next movie. Rajamouli reportedly stated that many directors now make two-part films not because the story is too big but rather just to earn more money from tickets.

He wants people to watch the film from start to end and feel everything — the action, the emotion, the magic all in one sitting, and not worry about what will happen in part two or when it will come, and this idea is something very bold and different from what other big directors are doing these days.

This movie is not just a regular film it is one of the biggest Indian movies being made right now, and Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu are both working very hard on it, and the shooting is going to continue till the middle of 2026 because the film has many big scenes and special effects, and it is planned to release in summer 2027.

Also, there is big news that Rajamouli is working with international film studios and people from outside India to make the film look more global, like a Hollywood-level movie, and fans are saying it might even release in many countries and break box office records just like RRR did.

Mahesh Babu and Rajamouli also have a special deal where they will get 40% of the profit from the film, which shows how big the money part is too, and now fans are waiting for a teaser video that will show a small look at the movie, and everyone is super excited because this film looks like it will be one of the most special and biggest movies in Indian film history.
