‘It Hurts’: BTS Jin Requests Fans Not To Grab His Hand After Fan Tries To Kiss Him

BTS’ Jin recently asked fans to be gentle during his Hi-Seokjin fan meet. He told them not to grab his hand tightly as it causes pain. The singer interacted with fans warmly but reminded them to respect his boundaries.

Jin addressed the crowd of fans with love and said, “So now, we're gonna do the Hi-Seokjin event, but when you grab my hands, it hurts. So, just lightly touch. For the foreigners, please don't grab, touch, please.”

He also shared a message about clicking pictures. Jin told fans it’s fine to take photos or videos from their seats, but he doesn't want close-up shots while they approach him.

He laughed and added, “Everyone. It's fine when you're taking pictures or videos of me when it's from your seat, but if you're taking pictures or recording when you come like this, I'll come out ugly. I'll get stressed if I see that kind of photo, ya know, so when you come here, please put your phone in your pocket.”

Jin lightened the mood by calling himself a movie star. Mr. Worldwide Handsome said, “Since I'm giving ment in front of this theatre screen, I kinda feel like I've become a movie actor. I (do think) am handsome.”

This isn't the first time the singer has addressed unwanted fan behaviour. During the BTS FESTA event in June 2024, a fan tried to kiss him without consent. The moment made headlines, and Seoul's Songpa Police Station later confirmed a complaint had been filed under the Sexual Violence Punishment Act. A BTS fan also shared online that they reported those responsible through the National Petition System.

Jin met around 1,000 fans during that FESTA celebration following his military discharge. He offered hugs and handshakes to fans as part of the event. Most fans respected his space, but some went too far. A video from the event showed Jin turning his face away after one fan tried to kiss him.

Despite these issues, Jin has continued to engage with ARMY. He’s currently promoting his second solo album, Echo. The album has received a lot of love, and the singer has been attending events and meeting fans regularly.
