Prof. Dr. Parin Somani’s Film on Mother Teresa Premieres at Global Festival in Dubai

Dubai, UAE – September 12th , 2025 – Global humanitarian, visionary educationist, and cultural ambassador Prof. Dr. Parin Somani has illuminated the international stage once again—this time through the art of cinema. Her poignant 90-second short film honouring the legacy of Mother Teresa premiered at the prestigious Global Encounters Festival in Dubai, leaving audiences profoundly moved with its message of compassion, service, and timeless humanity.

Hosted at the Dubai World Trade Centre from July 20–27, the Global Encounters Festival brought together over 4,000 young artists and athletes from more than 50 nations, with an audience surpassing 25,000 visitors. Inaugurated by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan and supported by the UAE government, the festival is a beacon of unity, creativity, and intercultural collaboration.

Prof. Dr. Parin Somani’s film, showcased in the Jubilee Arts Reel Showcase, distilled Mother Teresa’s life of service into a soul-stirring cinematic expression. Through evocative imagery and a moving narrative, the microfilm celebrated the enduring spirit of one of humanity’s greatest icons.

“Mother Teresa’s life continues to inspire generations. I created this film to honour her values and remind the world that service is the highest form of humanity,” said Dr. Somani.

The tribute reflected not only Mother Teresa’s profound legacy but also Dr. Somani’s own lifelong mission: to educate, empower, and uplift the underprivileged through action rooted in empathy and compassion.
