Kantara: Chapter 1 Box Office: Rishab Shetty’s Film Opens With Good Numbers, Collects THIS Much Crore

Rishab Shetty’s Kantara: Chapter 1 has stormed into cinemas with one of the biggest openings ever for a Kannada film. Released on October 2, coinciding with Dussehra and Gandhi Jayanti, the film grossed a staggering ₹60 crore across India on its first day. Directed by Rishab and produced by Hombale Films, the pan-India release lived up to its hype with packed theatres and strong early reviews.

In Karnataka, the film dominated with an extraordinary 88.13% occupancy, showcasing its home-ground pull. The Telugu states recorded a healthy 75.34% occupancy, while Tamil Nadu registered 71.42%. With strong word-of-mouth and rising occupancy in Hindi-speaking markets, trade experts expect the film to witness further growth over the weekend. Analysts believe it has the potential to challenge records set by giants like RRR and KGF: Chapter 2.

Kantara: Chapter 1 features an ensemble cast which includes Rishabh Shetty, Rukmini Vasanth, Gulshan Devaiah, Jayaram in leading roles. Rishab Shetty has directed the film while Hombale films have produced the film.
