Legendary Actor Manoj Kumar Passes Away at 87 – India Wakes Up to Heartbreaking News

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India] April 04: A very sad moment for India and the film industry as veteran Actor and Padma Shri Awardee Manoj Kumar Passes Away at 87 in Mumbai. He died early Friday at 4:03 am in Mumbai at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital.

According to the doctor’s team who were assigned the late actor’s case, he had an acute myocardial infarction, also known as a huge heart attack. He died as a result of his heart's unexpected failure. Also, he had liver issues for several months. He had decompensated liver cirrhosis, a dangerous condition, according to the doctors. His health declined daily as a result of this disease. Despite the efforts of the doctors, he did not improve after being taken to the hospital on February 21, 2025. After getting medical attention for a few weeks, he sadly died.

Manoj Kumar was not only an actor. He also made and wrote movies. His movies were about loving India. They showed how to be good, help others, and tell the truth. He acted in very popular and hit movies like Shaheed, Upkaar, Purab Aur Paschim, and Kranti. People say these movies are about love for the country. In these films, he showed how to be a good person. That is why people called him a hero who loved India. His movies were not just for fun. They also made people think and feel.

After the news of Manoj Kumar’s passing, many people shared their sadness on the internet. Actors, filmmakers, politicians, and fans all across the country paid tribute to the legend that is no more. Manoj Kumar joined politics after leaving the Bollywood industry and shook hands with the Bharatiya Janata Party, or BJP, before the 2004 general elections. Despite his new role in politics, he was mostly famous for his outstanding Bollywood roles and films. The news of Manoj Kumar's death makes many Indians incredibly sad, yet everyone is aware that his memory will live on forever.
