Kartik Aaryan put on 10 kg for a next movie 'Freddy'

According to an informed source, “Freddy is Kartik Aaryan’s most difficult part to date. He portrays a shockingly dark, twisted persona that will startle viewers. It appears that Shah Rukh’s Baazigar and Darr are just as grey as Kartik’s character.

Kartik insisted on bulking up because he had to portray a character who was older than himself.

Prosthetics were the director’s suggestion. Kartik, however, wished to avoid any artificiality in this instance of his acting. As raw and genuine as it gets is Freddy. According to the insider, Kartik also wanted the character to appear as firmly authentic as possible.

“Was it difficult for Kartik to gain the weight? In no way. For a few weeks, he only needed to eat his mother’s cuisine to gain weight”, says the source.
