The actor was last seen in 2015 in Katti Batti and has been on a sabbatical since then, leaving fans wondering when he will return. While the actor hinted at his return earlier this year, adding to the excitement, Imran revealed at a recent event that he has been reading screenplays and having professional conversations with numerous filmmakers.

Bollywood hunk Imran Khan has become highly active on social media. He recently attended an event in Mumbai, where people cheered him on. Aside from his supporters’ affection, the question of his return remained constant.

In response, the actor remarked that he did not have a clear answer. He has, nevertheless, been reading scripts and having creative conversations with filmmakers. “So, Hopefully, next year!” he said.

In addition, during the same event, Imran revealed how he became interested in movies. He remarked that he is a member of the audience because he enjoys going to the movies. He enjoyed watching movies and was inspired by heroes. Furthermore, he admitted to loving the sensation of watching a movie, losing oneself in that world, and riding an emotional roller coaster. He claimed that as a child, it swept him away,“As a kid, I enjoyed watching spectacle films. I remember watching Indiana Jones when I was 8 and it blew my mind. I bought myself a brown jacket like Indiana Jones. These are my early memories of trying to emulate a hero.”

A Glimpse into His Next Project

The Break Ke Baad actor is about to quit his eight-year vacation and is in advanced talks for a drama series with the director of his beloved film, Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na, Abbas Tyrewala. According to a source, the series will be a spy action drama in which he would play an intelligence officer, in contrast to his customary chocolate boy persona. The series will be available on a major OTT platform.
