In a recent incident, Gulshan’s support for artist Prasad Bhat’s work showcased his unwavering commitment to recognizing and valuing artistic talent.

When Prasad, a talented caricature artist from Bengaluru, approached Gulshan to create a tribute featuring his iconic characters, Gulshan’s response was remarkable. Instead of accepting the artwork for free, Gulshan made the conscious decision to commission the artwork and compensate the artist for his remarkable skills. Prasad carefully selected moments from Gulshan’s diverse filmography, capturing the essence of characters from movies such as Commando 3, Dahaad, Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota.

Valuing the artwork

Expressing his perspective on the matter, Gulshan stated, “I firmly believe in supporting artists and acknowledging their talent. While I am grateful for offers to create art for me free of charge, I understand the importance of art as a livelihood, particularly in an era dominated by AI and Machine Learning. Therefore, it is crucial to compensate artists fairly for their work. When Prasad approached me, his idea resonated with me, and I decided to commission him to capture my career journey through his unique artistic vision. I am genuinely thrilled with the outcome, as each caricature holds treasured memories.”

Gulshan Devaiah’s captivating presence in the film 8 A.M. Metro alongside Saiyami Kher left a lasting impression on audiences. His powerful portrayal of Devilal Singh, a police officer, in the crime thriller Dahaad received critical acclaim. Currently, Gulshan is preparing for his role in Ulajh, an upcoming action thriller starring Janhvi Kapoor and renowned Malayalam actor Roshan Mathew.
