Breaking! Kartik Aaryan had already rejected Dream Girl 2 because of THIS reason!

06 May 2023, Mumbai: Dream Girl was released in 2019 and it performed well at the box office. Recently, when the official announcement with a promo of Dream Girl 2 was made, where we can see Ananya Panday along Ayushmann Khurranna.

Well, according to a source close to the industry, The Filmy Charcha has exclusively learnt that Kartik Aaryan was the first choice of the filmmakers of Dream girl 2. His back to back hits made film makers to offer him this upcoming blockbuster. But he rejected the role as he did not wanted to play a girl character in the movie.

Ayushmann Khurrana was one of the biggest reasons why the first part of Dream Girl was a big hit on the Big Screens. But, it seems like film makers had other plans. In the end, after they failed to bring the Bhool Bhulaiya 2 actor on board, film makers decided to stay back with Ayushmann Khurrana opposite Ananya Pandey.

The 25th of August 2023 is the planned release date for Dream Girl 2. Ayushmann Khurrana plays Karam, a kid from a small town who is attempting to live a serious life in Mathura and falls in love with Pari (Ananya Panday), but life is… hell set on not taking him seriously. Dream Girl 2 follows Karam’s journey.

In Shehzada, Kartik last appeared. Additionally, he had a surprise cameo appearance in Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar with Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor. The actor’s upcoming film, Satyaprem Ki Katha, also stars Kiara Advani. He will be appearing in Aashiqui 3 when filming starts later this year.
