Bhumi Pednekar Teases Imran Khan’s Comeback Film: ‘This Love Story is Next-Level!’

Recently, Bollywood actress Bhumi Pednekar revealed more about her upcoming film with Imran Khan on the latest episode of The Right Angle with Sonal Kalra. Fans are thrilled as Bhumi revealed insights into the project and her journey after taking a break from acting.

Post-debut with some backlash, Bhumi went on a nine-month break regarding mental health and personal development after her web series The Royals was released. In January 2026 she returned with the film Daldal, which garnered immense fanfare around the world.

Bhumi explained in her interview, “For me, ‘break’ led me to a realization that something spiritual had already occurred inside of me – something I missed – something that motivated me. I did sewa at the Golden Temple and it brought me some stability with meaning. My advice to the younger generation is to find your God, to find that connection with God or universe.”

Bhumi also dropped down on her upcoming film, which announced Imran Khan’s return to Bollywood in a decade. “I just shot this pretty cute film with an awesome crew. Imran is behind rom-coms, and this one takes that genre to a new and more adult level. It’s an evolved love story. Gurfateh Pirzada is among the cast. I’ve loved Imran’s films I’ve seen recently, like Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, so working with him was on my bucket list.” 

The film is called Adhoore Hum Adhoore Tum and it’s directed by Danish Aslam of Break Ke Baad fame. Bhumi hinted that she’s working on projects that test her acting, that take her performance to a new level.

Now, with the new alliance and Imran's return to the screen, fans are looking forward to getting the film announced and released.
