Siddle became the first Victorian player to don the baggy green since Paul Reiffel when he made his Test debut for the Australian national team against India on October 17, 2008, at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium. Throughout his career, Siddle—who was renowned for his reliability and long-term bowling ability—became a key member of Australia's bowling assault, especially during the early years of the country's bowling heyday. He continues to play domestic cricket after retiring from international competition in December 2019.
