Mohammad Haris

Haris was born in Mushtarzai, a village near Peshawar, into a Pashtun family. He attended Peshawar's Islamia College. Before being chosen for the Peshawar Under-19 team and, a year later, the Under-19 national team, he studied cricket at the Maazullah Khan Cricket Academy in Peshawar.He is a young Pakistani international cricket player who made his ODI debut against the West Indies in June 2022 and his T20I debut against England shortly after. He is renowned for his batting and wicketkeeping skills.

Playing for the Pakistani national side in both ODIs and T20Is, Mohammad Haris is a gifted wicketkeeper-batsman with an aggressive approach. He had standout performances in the 2020–21 National T20 Cup and the 2021 and 2022 T20 World Cups. In his six games as an Odi player, he has scored 30 runs at an average of 8.

• He had dreamed of playing professional football since he was a young boy. He played tape-ball cricket and worked as a salesman at the Rawalpindi store. His coach encouraged him to try out for the Lahore Qalandar team, which is how he got involved in cricket.
• He was caught behind and took his first ODI wicket of their captain, Chamu Chibhabha, two days later in the next series. He claimed two and three wickets against Zimbabwe in the following two matches. On July 13, 2021, he bowled his best against England.
