Anjana Om Kashyap

Anjana Om Kashyap is a senior Indian journalist and news presenter. She is the executive editor of the Aaj Tak news channel. She is one of India’s most successful and well-known journalists. She is known for her programs Halla Bol and Aaj Tak Special Report. Anjana Om Kashyap faced heavy criticism after she reported that Dharmendra is dead. People started trolling her, and she faced heavy criticism after that. Some angry fans posted on social media that Anjana Om Kashyap has died and left this world. 

Anjana Om Kashyap was born on 12 June 1975 in Ranchi, Bihar to father Dr. Om Prakash Tiwari.

Anjana Om Kashyap began his journalism career with Doordarshan in 2003. After that, she joined Aaj Tak, and now she is the executive editor of the Aaj Tak news channel. She is one of India’s most successful and well-known journalists. She is known for her programs, Halla Bol and Aaj Tak Special Report. Kashyap Is known as a strong anti-reservation voice in India, opposing reservations for socially oppressed classes and similar affirmative action schemes. In a media-panel discussion, she once described the system as infested with “termites,” bringing neither social mobility nor economic prosperity to the targeted population. She cites her Brahminical upbringing and the prevailing social tensions following the implementation of the Mandal Commission recommendations as contributing factors. She has previously hosted debate programs such as Badi Baat and Do Tuk on other Hindi channels.

Anjana has acted in Hindi films such as Sultan (2016 film) and Tiger Zinda Hai. While reporting on the 2019 Bihar encephalitis outbreak, Anjana entered the neonatal ICU at Sri Krishna Medical College and Hospital and began assaulting the on-duty pediatrician. She was widely criticised for her inappropriate behavior. The Indian Medical Association later filed a complaint against her for endangering the lives of children in an attempt to gain publicity. Anjana Om Kashyap has also been accused of siding with the Bharatiya Janata Party and reporting for a political party, although there is no authenticity to this.

Anjana has also been involved in other controversies. During the Maharashtra elections, she made a derogatory remark about Aditya Thackeray, sparking a heated debate that forced Anjana to apologise. And now she is facing heavy criticism after she reported that Dharmendra is dead. People started trolling her, and she faced heavy criticism after that. Some angry fans posted on social media that Anjana Om Kashyap has died and left this world. 

Anjana completed her schooling in Bihar. After that she earned a Diploma in Journalism from Jamia Millia Islamia College, Delhi. Anjana also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Botany (Hons).

Anjana has been married to Mangesh Kashyap, an officer of the Delhi, Andaman and Nicobar Islands Police Service cadre, since 1995. She met Mangesh during her days at Delhi University. Mangesh has been the Deputy Commissioner of Delhi Police and, since 2016, the Chief Vigilance Officer of the South Delhi Municipal Corporation. They have a son and a daughter.

Anjana Om Kashyap has a height of 5'4 inches and she weighs 56 kilograms.
